Dear and I fall sick on the same day yesterday but I'm quite sure we didn't pass it to each other because we didn't meet each other ever since Saturday. Dear went home around noon yesterday while I struggled with my fever and bodyache until 5.15pm and went home slightly earlier. Wanted to see a doctor after I finished work, who knows two of my frequently visit doctor knock off so early. 4.30pm!!! In the end have to walk home again, slept a bit before going out at 7pm to see another doc. I was having headache, fever and body ache, all symptoms of dengue. In fact Dear was having the same symptoms as me so both of us have to observe whether do we have rashes coming up or if our bodyache and fever do not subsides after a few days, then we'll have to go for a blood test. I think I should be ok because i'm feeling slightly better today, at least the irritating body ache and headache went off quite a bit. Sch term started again and first assignment deadline is on 3 September. I've not started at all, intend to do it today. Hopefully will have ideas to write and be able to finish all of it today. Went to my mother's sister's house last sat and borrowed a lot of korean dramas VCD!! mummy and I are so excited!! VCD can be quite expensive sometimes, some VCD can go up to $60++, so we seldom buy. But I don't have time to watch it now, gotta work, go to sch and do assignment. Speaking of school, I like my classmates in Communication Studies tutorial group. I'm in a group with 3 other girls and I feel very comfortable talking to them. One of them works for DSTA, one is in events and another one works for some telecommunication comany (can't remember what is it). One good thing about uniSIM is that all of us are working adults from different companies, therefore you're exposed to a lot of different people from different fields. My bro's birthday is coming up in September, thinking of what to get for him. Any idea anyone?? He's a 19years old polytechnic students, christian, outdoor kinda guy, currently started reading harry potter story books and likes computer games. I've promise that I'll buy the next harry potter story book but he's always finish reading so fast he went to buy it before I did. I'm only reading the third one and he's already at the fifth one. I must say the story books are far more better than the movies. There's more events happening in the story book than the movie and I think that's because they do not have enough budget to film everything down, If they did, I think we'll be spending like 3-4 hours in the theatre. July was my dad's birthday, August was my mom's birthday and now September is my Brother's birthday. I've been spending so much money for these few months. Luckily i didn't have the time to go shopping if not it would be terrible if I saw something that I like and can't buy, or i bought it and regret it. Time really passed very quickly, I've been with my new company for half a year without myself realising it. Didn't thought that I'll be able to survive at this place for half a year. Been complaining about this place every other day and can't wait to leave this place even since I joined in February. Till today, I can't say I've grown to love my job, just that I've got the hang of it and counting down to the day the court decided to something about our work application. Heard that they have receive all the applications but have not done anything to do. Till now, I would definitely nod my head and go back if they accept my application. ok, I've gotta start with my assignment~ have a good day everyday and don't fall sick~ Halo my friends~ I'm back from my trip~ It has been a wonderful trip with my dear~ We took a 6am flight to hong kong on 21 July (saturday) with United Airline, therefore have to be at the airport by 3am. I met dear at his house around 11pm+, went to his house to do a last min check on his belongings. We told oursevles not to sleep because we know we'll definitely miss the flight if the both of us fall asleep. So we just rest our body on the bed, with the lights on, door open, ready to rush out anytime (just in case we're late). In the end, the both of us fall asleep again. But Dear's mother was so sweet, she kept nagging at us not to fall asleep and woke us up @3am. We finally reach airport w/o any delay and went to check-in. I've always dislike waiting to board the plane, it's always at least a 1-2 hours waiting. But with Dear, time past really quickly. We grab some bite, tried on the feet massager and sent some emails and it's time to board the plane. United airline was okay... There's no screen in front of your seat, you would have to look at the big screen in front, i was a bit short to watch the movie comfortably, have to lean forward to see properly. It was quite cold though, cover myself with the blanket all the way to my neck. Journey to Hong Kong took around 3 hours and we reached Hong Kong around 12noon. Took quite a few maps and booklet for tourist at their tourism counter. Couldn't book the Duk Ling ride as it's all fully booked, and the next ride is on thursday (we leave on wednesday). We met up with our travel coordinator, he took us to our shuttle bus area, helped us buy MTR train tickets and offer to buy some local products for us. Both of us thought he's just too sweet to do all these things for us. We order 6 boxes of local products, each cost $40. But later found out on our 4th day then he actually charged us 2 times the price!!! I really thought he's just a kind coordinator who wish to save our trouble for finding and buying the local products, therefore gave us this favour. Anyway, we went to the hotel immediately and check-in. Gotta put a $500 deposit just in case we use anything from the hotel room. The room is quite small, but I guess that's the average size of the hotel room in Hong Kong. But Dear really like this room because there's a bath tube!! He really loves bath bath! So we put down our things and left to explore Tsim Tsha Sui~ We stayed at Tsim Tsha Sui and it was quite convenient for us to go anywhere. The MTR station was just around the corner. We walked and walked and walked until my feet really hurts. Hong Kong was having summer and it was realy hot, the scorching sunlight just seem to pierce through your skin into every part of your body. Hong Kong was having their shopping festival (similar to our great singapore sale), and I bought a lot of things! There's nothing much for men actually, the only things that you can for men are in Shopping Centres and their shopping centres are very much the same as the shopping centres in Singapore. There's more things for women regardsless of in shopping centres or in the streets. Dear and I found a fabulous restaurant in Tsim Tsha Sui but couldn't fnd the entrance in. This restaurant that we wanted to dine in serves roasted duck, pork everything and the restaurant to the left serves chicken rice. There was a sign at the entrance of the roasted duck restaurant that says enter from the left, but the restaurant on the left was selling chicken rice. So we didn't dare to go in, in the end, those two restaurants are actually connected. We went in and had a wonderful dinner that evening. It was cheap and serves delicious local food. It was so nice, we dine there 3 times in 5 days! Went to Avenue of Star to watch the symphony of light but we were greeted with fireworks instead!! It was such a memorable night. Brought Dear to Tang Chao for dinner, I went there the on my first trip to Hong Kong and they serve really nice beancurd and other food. Went to explore temple street after that and bought more staffs. saw some seafood stalls and told ourselves that we'll go back for seafood some other day. Went back really tired and slept immediately. We woke up the next day in the morning hoping to fnd a Dim Sum restaurant but couldn't find any!!! I thought there's like a Dim Sum restaurant every 5 steps but we couldn't find any and have to settle our breakfast somewhere else. Went to explore Mong kok next. Walked, Shopped, Ate, Walked further, Shopped further and Ate more!!! Introduced smelly beancurd to Dear, he really couldn't take it and nearly vomit out. For me I don't see any difference between the smelly beancurd and the rest of the other normal beancurd. Dear refuse to come close to me after I ate the beancurd.. was so funny to see his expression when he was chewing the beancurd. Both of us really bought a lot of staffs that day and went back to the hotel to put down our staffs before going out for dinner. Gave me some time to rest too, my feet hurts so much. Went back to temple street for seafood dinner but it wasn't really good. Considering it wasn't really good, the $200+ spent was too much. If it's really good, we don't mind spending it. That was the end for second day and we went back to sleep. Third day was a monday and we thought considering it is a weekday, there shouldn't be that many people in the ocean park even though it's their summer school holiday now. But we were so wrong!! There were still a lot of people and it was still super hot that day. Ocean park was having some expansion work, therefore part of it was closed and I ddn't get to see as much as what I saw the last time I came, except that they have 2 more pandas now. Still we have to queue for like half an hour before we can spend time inside the air-conditioned place to see the superstar pandas. Flashlights are prohibited in most of the attractions because the animals may be startled by the flashlights and be scared or may even provoke them. But a lot of the visitors (most of them are local people) simple ignored the request and keep taking photos with flashlight. I was quite irritated with them actually.. Besides, a lot of the visitors (local people) like to open their umbrella without considering that there are other people walking besides them. A lot of times Dear nearly got his eyes/face poked by their umbrella. He used to avoid the umbrella whenever he walk past them, but after a few times, he simply push the umbrella away when he saw one coming his way. Besides umbrella incidents, a lot of times, these people like to push their way or simply knock into you w/o apologising or feeling sorry. I almost got knocked down by a Fat woman while shopping and she didn't even look back at me, simply carrying on walking. One last thing, the next time if you visit Hong Kong, remember now to walk on their streets w/o something to cover your head. Even though the rooms in Hong Kong are small, but almost all the rooms are installed with air-condition and the water from the air-condition just keeps dripping. If you walk along their street w/o an umbrella or cap or if you do not walk under their covered walkway, i'm sure your head or shoulder will be soaking wet when you walk from the first street to the last street. Fourth Day was to explore Causeway Bay and Central. We went to take a shuttle bus to The peak tram station up to the peak. This bus is a double storey bus with no shelter on the upper deck. It was quite sunny but with the wind blowing on our face, it wasn't hot at all~ Bought tickets Mdm Tussaud wax museum and tram tickets, but spent some time queueing to buy the tickets because some big family tourists were trying to but some 20 tickets and trying to bluff the ticketing officer that their children (who's bigger size and taller than me) than they're still under age of 12 and can buy a child ticket. Mdm Tussaud wax museum was quite fascinating~ It's so cool to see all the superstar standing right in front of you even though they're made of wax and can't move. Everything was quite real except for some figures such as Jay Chou and Twins, Had a wonderful dinner @ Bubble Gum restaurant up in the peak tower. They server marvellous seafood and had wonderful view of the tall officer towers along causeway bay, central and tsim tsha sui. We had our dinner around 8am and got a chance to see the symphony of lights again, now from another angle. After dinner we went to take a walk along Lan Gui Fang.. super tiring because it's slopes everywhere. Couldn't take it anymore, so went back to sleep. Wednesday was our last day in Hong Kong and woke up super early to pack our bags. Shoppping bags were everywhere, we didn't bother to pack anything until the last day. Had Dim Sum breakfast at a nice restaurant with beautiful morning view. Went for last min shopping and Dear wanted to have a last meal at his favourite roast duck restaurant. Went back to the hotel around 4.30pm and took the shuttle bus back to international airport. We went to the hotel with great reluctance because we really enjoyed ourselves and don't want to go back to work. I was saying if only our flight can be delayed, we can spend more time in Hong Kong. Dear said best if our flight is cancelled. I was taking care of our bags when Dear queued up to check-in. We're next in the queue but they were taking a very long time with the registration. Dear signalled me to go over and told me that he heard United airline officers talking to each other that the flight has been cancelled. I was like "What??!! It really came true?" I've taken so many flights and none of them have any problem, not even delayed. But my first trip with Dear and our flight got cancelled. Both of us were quite happy actually and were waiting to hear what's their compensation. Some other travellers die die want to get on board the plane and were placed on standby list but we just happily go to their pre-arranged hotel and enjoyed our night there. It was a 4 stars hotel 10mins away from the airport and the hotel room was like totally different from our hotel room in Tsim Tsha Sui. There's plasma tv in front of the big comfortable double bed, huge window for a nice view and wonderful shower head with massaging facilities. They provided us with free buffet dinner and breakfast too. Had a good night sleep before going to the airport early in the morning for a 8+am flight on Cathay airline back to Singapore. Besides the nice hotel they provided, united airline also compensated US$100 to each individual. It was a wonderful trip with Dear, we didn't fight over which road to take, initially I thought we would fight over which road to take because we always do this when we're on the road in Singapore. Travelling with family and your love ones is really different, but I enjoyed both my Hong Kong trips. Planning to go for another one next time with Dear, maybe to Taiwan next time~ 030507 was our 3 years 11 months anniversary, couldn't celebrate because both Dear and I were working. So I took a day's leave to accompany Dear yesterday, as well as to settle some of my Uni stuffs. Exam is on 23 May 07 but i've not started with any of my revision, better start soon.
Dear Dear and I went to kbox for ktv hoping that we can get the k lunch package, but the young lady told us the lunch bento has been sold out, so they cant sell us the package anymore. Instead we got the k Happy hours package, just $2 more and we can sing all the way until 5pm which we didn't do it because we have other plans for the day. After KTV, dear brought me to Xing Wang hong kong cafe and treated me with crab porridge. It's super big with the whole crab inside. Dear knows that I can't take fatty food now, so order the porridge for the both of us. It's really tasty, the porridge is not those plain porridge, it's really tasty. The crab is considered quite big considering the crab porridge is only $29. I think Xing Wang serves really good porridge because most of the people were having porridge.
My throat hurts a little after the ktv session so went to buy throat candy while Dear waited for me outside cheers. I was only gone for 2 mins and saw Dear chatting with two ladies outside Cheers. I didn't walk to his side immediately, instead went to throw some rubbish and waited for Dear to approach me instead. One part of me tells me that those girls must be someone Dear knows instead of strangers approaching him, but one part of me just feel so jealous because there's girls approaching him the moment I'm gone. Dear later told me that those girls were his classmates and he did tell them that he was waiting for his girlfriend to buy something. There's nothing wrong with him talking to girls, it's just that he is always so friendly to them, makes me feel insecure sometimes, especially the woodlands metro incident. Anyway, Dear went to have his hair cut after that and he thinks that the "Director hairstylist" did a terrible job because one sideburn is longer than the other sideburn. I told him maybe that's the hairstylist's intention, it's just like the hair on my left side is shorter than my hair on the right side.
I'm gonna watch Spiderman 3 tomorrow with my family, it has been such a long time since I last watch movie with them. Think the last movie was Protege. Today is Saturday, think i'm just gonna rest for the whole day~ | Updates! | Apr 30, '07 12:49 PM for everyone |
I received complaints that it has been such a long long long time since I last wrote any entry. Updates from my last blog entry.
It has been 2 months+ since I joined SPF but my desire to turn the clock back to 2 months ago is still so strong. How I wish I'm still with Fam Ct, working happily with my dear Yanti and fabulous colleague at Fam Ct. I really enjoyed working with them so much. It's not as if my colleagues @ SPF is not good, they are all very friendly but the work @ SPF is just so taxing and I don't think I like numbers. I like laws better.
Joseph and I have been getting along quite fine. In fact he joined my girlfriends and I on a KTV session last week and we had so much fun. Syahmi is still so cute!! He actually disallow Joseph and I to hold hands. He will walk to between the both of us and separate our hands if we are seen holding hands together. But he has no problem with Joseph putting his arms around me. Haha!! cute cheeky little boy. We all refer Joseph as Abang Yusoff and Syahmi actually think it's for real and call Joseph "Abang Yusoff" when he wanted Joseph to help him to take his bag. so so so cute!!
I've been working so hard for the past weekend. Was rushing my assignment and work and it really made me so so tired. Tomorrow is PH and I'm just gonna rest and rest and rest. Can't get enough rest~
ok, that's it. I gotta rest. It has been such a super duber long time since I last wrote any journal. Been really busy all this while.
I've just changed my job, currently under Singapore Police Force now, finally got a perm position instead of being under contract basis. Life at Family Court has been great and I truely miss all my ex-colleague, especially my dear yanti, grandmother aminah, cute supervisor Khai ling and Christina. I miss the rest of the people as well.. but what to do? They do not know how to treasure people (especially the good ones :P).. we just have to move on. My new workplace is quite nice also. I'm under the admin and finance department and there's so many welfare activities the moment I join. There's CNY lunch celebration (buffet), boss treated for lunch at some club for senior officer, year-end welfare activity today (went for lunch buffet at a high class restaurant in DFS followed by a visit to asian museum, work officially finish @ 11.30am), tomorrow will be having lunch with the director at Hayatt hotel (heard that it's going to be another buffet). Boss has been dedicting work to me, he let me organise a training session for around 60 people for 2 days. I have to work out the seating arrangment, liaise with the trainer, make sure that their vehicles are all clearance for entrance before the training day... I'm just glad that everything went on smoothly.. even though there were some hiccups!! my buddy and I jus love to eat but always have to look out for our weight. We went to the gym and aerobic session together before today's buffet lunch. During the lunch, we really make sure we screen through all the dishes. Therefore we went down row by row, after taking the food from first row, we will sit down and eat before proceeding down to the second row. Row by row, we took and sit down 8 times in total!!! The guys were like so stunned to see us eating and walking so many times. Both of us are of the same age, but she looks younger while I look older for our age. We talk about our boyfriends, complaining about them and share our views on our future. Hope that we'll have a good time working together.
School has started and I've just submitted my first individual assignment. Wasn't perfectly done but really couldn't think of anymore ideas. Tomorrow is the deadline for law's group assignment and i've done my part, hope they remember to submit on time tomorrow.
My driving license is 1 year old!! But i'm still doesn't have any sense of direction. Brother is now in China, Shan Dong. he's doing his attachment there, heard that it's very strict there, they're not allowed to talk when they are working. And it's super cold there, so he really eats a lot, 3-4 bowls of rice!!! he only eats 3/4 bowl of rice when he's at home.
Dear and I have been quite stable now, there's no more fights between us nowadays (choy!) My parents are hoping that I can study harder ( i think because they hardly see me study)
*my feet hurts from all the walking in the museum...
I forgot to mention something super important. Thank you Hadi for helping me so much since the first day i join here. Thank you very much. My dear colleagues gave my OA and I a treat because they are permanent staffs and will be getting a fat bonus!!! Went to swenson @ Chinatown Point and have a great lunch there. We joke, gossip and discuss work issues with one another, it allow us to be bonded and therefore will have a better working relationship.
 I look so pale!!!
Dear and I had a really huge fight on last saturday night. He wasn't pleased with what I wore down to Orchard Road when we were suppose to go and see the Christmas lighting. He wanted me to wear something nicer while I wanted to wear something more comfortable. I choose not to speak to me so that we will not argue further and was rushing home but he was behind me all the while. In the end we had a huge arguement below my block and made up by giving promises to each other in the end.
Mummy and I went to the salon last weekend and both of us dye our hair. I think my hair looks nicer with coloured hair if not it will look very old and dull.
Went to watch a magic show by my Brother's church, FCBC. It was a combinated of music, dance and magic. Fantastic show! Evelyn tan was from this church too and she made a special appearance before the magic show started. She's 5 months pregnant but still looks so radiant and beautiful. The magic show did touch me because it emphasize the love of the family. the magician is actually the founder of the church and he told us about his personal incident.
One day, his daugher came kneeling down to him and confess that she has a sin. She was pregnant but she's not married. His father was so disapppointed, angry and sad with her. He wanted to chase her out of the house but her mother asked him why don't you choose to love her? Therefore he opened up his heart to her with love and said that god has forgiven you. The grandson brought so much happiness and laughter to the family thereafter. She had never thought of aborting the baby when she found out she was pregnant. She's a single mother but she went through all her problems with the support of her lovely and supporting family. The family is more bonded now after they believe in christ.
*Give more love to everyone around you~ I started my monday pretty well, ma'am finished the session quite quickly, my dear yanti wiped a wonderful home-cooked lunch for us and met up with Dear after my work. As usual, Dear was late yesterday and I kept nagging @ him. It reached a point whereby I knew he will be late and I will just go to Bugis automatically w/o him telling and wait for him there. True enough, he msg me @ 6.15pm (I finish work @ 6pm) and tell me to go to Bugis and wait for him because he's colleague was not back from her break and he wasn't able to leave just like that. Was suppose to go perm my hair yesterday but he suddenly says wanna go it on some other day, was quite irritated by it because I was pretty excited about getting my hair permed. In the end we went back to my house, get myself changed into comfortable clothing and drove to his house. Had dinner @ his place and then we drove to Yishun Safra for bowling~ Brought along his younger brother.
My first game is always the worst game, gotta warm up a bit. I won Dear by one game and I got a turkey!! 3 strikes in a row~ My wrist was already quite painful, think largely due to my work, gotta type for 8hours a day, 5days a week. It got worst after the bowling session because I bowl and type using the same hand. Dear's brother bowled as well, he was aided by the bumper by the side, hence his ball will never be washed down to the drain. Initially he wasn't able to strike most of the pin and got pretty upset about it but subsequent he got better and got a few spares~ Went home around 11.45pm and went to sleep the moment I reached home.
Looking forward to Wednesday~ My court has been hearing juveniles cases these 2 days, seems like the juveniles are getting more and more out of hand nowadays. Yesterday, one boy was ordering his mother to plead with my boss after she has given her order. The way he asks her, it seems like he's not sorry for what he had done at all. But according to the paper, the number of juveniles cases have dropped, what a surprise. I wonder why rongxin is so busy everyday then.
It's quite a tricky job to raise and teach the kids. Too strict on them, they'll suffocate and may even rebel against you. Too loose and they'll fly away and do their own sweet things outside (illegal or legal things). I don't understand, does the child behave according to the way we teach them? Or are they born with a particular character that will not change despite us teaching? Being in a family court sometimes put me in fear of marriage, but facing the juveniles make me shiver if I have kids in the future. A lot of time I think the parents pamper their kids too much, that's why they are able to do what they like outside. Therefore I think I shall be a strict mother when I have kids 6 years down the road. at least I know I was super scare of my mother when I was young and dare not do anything to irritate her. She was super fierce when I was small and I ganna a lot of beating from her. My mom was telling me (when I was older) that I'm not like any other kids who will throw away the cane or run around when the mother wants to beat them. In fact, I will stand before hand and let her cane when I know i'm in trouble. My brother on the other hand will not throw the cane away, but will hide the cane. But my resourceful mother, always mange to find alternate thing to beat us.
I'm going down to CC this evening to join some exercise class with Mummy~ I'm so happy today! I'm finally back to my court, home sweet home~ Been in the back office for the past 2 weeks and i terribly miss my court, my computer, my 2 eeyores on my desk, my darling yanti and my dear boss! I was on medical leave yesterday, i try to bear the pain when I was in the train. One stop by One stop I tell myself I can bear the pain and I'll reach Chinatown in no time. But I really couldn't take it anymore when I reached Toa payoh so I have to alight to rush to the restroom and then to the polyclinic. There's relatively more elderlys in Toa Payoh polyclinic because it's quite an old estate but i like it more than Yishun Polyclinic. Dear rush down from Sembawang to accompany me in the polyclinic and was so sweet towards me for the whole afternoon.
We went to vivocity for Dear to study for his exam this coming saturday. There was a misunderstanding when we were studying in Starbucks but it was ok after a while. Watch Saw III after the studies, there were so many people (mostly families with kids) @ GV. I told Dear movies like "Happy Feet" and "Open Season" are most probably sold out because there's so many kids yesterday. Lucky we wanted to watch Saw III, a R21 movie. It was pretty much disgusting but I manage to watch everything w/o blocking my own view (i usually do this when I'm scare). We were shopping for a big bag for myself, big enough to put the entire file inside when I'm starting school. I don't wish to carry the files in the bag that i carry on my shoulder, don't wan to add more weight on my shoulder so opt for another bag. But conflicts arose again and Dear purposely irritates me because he doesn't like my attitude. So we had a huge fight again, I refuse to eat my food and we were arguing all the way to the bus stop when we were on our way home. But in the end Dear came up to me and hug me and that's the point I broke down. Dear offer to let me bite him hand and I left 2 deep marks on his hand after I bite him. It really looks very painful but he keeps telling me that it's not painful and then I broke down again (haha!!).. He must be thinking why I like to cry so much. Seems like I really must change my attitude towards him, be more girlie towards him.
This morning happily rush for the train because the empty train in Yishun (towards marina bay) was @ the station and if I manage to catch the train I'll be able to find a seat. Turn out that there was an accident in the station and there's no train towards marina bay from yishun!! We can only take the train from AMk onwards towards marina bay and there's a shuttle bus available, but it's surely super packed!! So i called my parents back to the train station (i just got off their vehiclep) and took the ride to woodlands, then all the way down to chinatown. reached the court only @ 9.10am. So late.
December is quite a busy month for me.

17 December 2006 sunday - to attend a magic show @ Bro's church
23 December 2006 - suppose to attend a wedding but decided to attend Qin's 21st birthday instead!
24 December 2006 - Family Christmas BBQ again!
31 December 2006 - Miao's musical Today is wednesday, two more days and it's the weekend! I'm so looking forward to Saturaday, because mummy and I will be joining my colleagues for a one day tour sponsored by our generous bosses! They will be bringing their family as well. We'll be going to Animal Resort, Fresh Wheatgrass Farm, Shanghai beauty warehouse and Cracker warehouse for titbits!! Got to meet outside the court @ 8.30am, just like my usual working hours, that's a bit sian.. thought could sleep longer. Dear is also looking forward to this saturday because it's his first exam on saturday. He has been mugging his books and notes for the past few weeks, quite hardworking. I'll be studying with him later after my work, will go back home and take my notes first before going to woodlands library. The first module that i'm taking is contract and agency law, so gotta dig out my business law notes and start refreshing my memory first.
This coming Sunday is Zen's 21st birthday as well. She told us about this a few months ago and she's very excited about it. All of us will be going but I really hope I can recover from my illness before the big day. My flu and cough is back again and it's super irritating, just hope that the fever will not be back.
There's nothing for me to do in the office for the moment that's why I have the time to write this journal. My colleague is always complaining he doesn't have enough time to clear his work, but when I take over his work while he concentrates on one particular task, I find that everything can be cleared very quickly. In fact I got nothing to do again yesterday @ 3.30pm and I only finish work @6pm. So I end up helping my assistant to do her work. I think it's all about consistency, if you do your work consistently, then you wouldn't find that this work is piling up, that work is piling up. I prefer to do everything on a daily basis, you'll find that actually the work is very simple and little if you do it that way.
*looking forward to Saturday~
Dear, good luck for ur exam! Dear says that i've not been writing journal for such a loooonngg time... So I thought I shall write something tonight!
Today is sunday, didn't go out for anything. Just stayed @ home, tidied my messy room and mopped the floor!! Yes.. I mopped the floor. So satisfied with the clean floor after all my hard work. Had dinner with my family @ the neighbourhood. We were discussing on when to have our meals together for this coming week. Monday I can't make it, Tuesday Mummy can't make it, Daddy suggested Thursday, mummy said she may have a meeting. That's when i say it's so difficult for us to meet even for a dinner. Bro and I have grown up, we have our own programs, Daddy and Mummy are busy working too. That's why we really treasure our time together whenever we have a chance to all come together to have a meal.
Dear and I have been visiting Vivocity quite frequently. We went there again last friday. Dear bought so many things, a jacket and a T-shirt from <Pull and bear> and a long sleeve top from Zara while I bought nothing. Saw a top but decided to walk a bit before buying it, in the end didn't buy. Saw a mini-skirt but thought that it's too short and inconvenient for me to wear it because you have to keep looking after your skirt whenever you sit or walk. Saw I-weekly having it's roadshow and saw Thomas Ong there. He's so handsome and tall. Dear said he saw dunno which DJ, saw her back when i turned around, skinny with beautiful hair. Dear wanted to cut his hair but one salon said they're closed even though the salon was still brightly lit with staffs happily chatting inside. Another salon was in Esprite and it's call "Esprite salon". Dear was quite skeptical about it so we walked a bit before going back again, this time determined to get his hair cut. But who knows it's their opening day and the salon had guests coming in with goodie bags, touring the salon. So we went out again w/o chopping any his hair. Went up the the third level to explore more, was so excited to see the shallow pool, Bro said he ever walked across the pond to reach to the balcony. But it was pretty dark that night so we didn't dare to do it.
i'm going for my full body checkup this coming saturday. Pretty excited about it, but scare @ the same time. Heard that one of my colleague got a referral to the polyclinic because the doctor found something dunno where. Who knows there may be something wrong with me after the checkup. Maybe there's something wrong with my body tt's why i'm always so tired.
My desktop is working finally, after such a long time. But the 2 USB ports in front of the CPU is not working, so we have to rely on the 4 USB ports behind the CPU, which is a bit inconvenient. And there's something wrong with the computer detecting SD card and memory stick, nothing pops out after i insert them. I can't even find the drive!! ARgh!!
I'm so tired of working, wish to study full time.. While waiting for my OA to retrieve a very old order for me, I can use the time to blog! I've got nothing to do now because I've finish updating the statutes for volumn 7 and I can't go on to volumn 8 because the new boy has yet to finish his part. He's a bit slow and he likes to take his time to read. The instructions are quite clear cut actually but I've decided to be more patient and give him more time. It gives me time to relax too. Super tiring these few days.. my eyes are so tired...
Dear's mother's birthday is coming up, we may go and have crab in ang mo kio, Dear and I went there on our own before. The crab is big and the taste is wonderful!! Will upload the photos of the big fat crab~ I've heard of rumours of how the crab in Sri Lanka grow up to so big but better not think of it, if not one will be so scare of having crabs!!
My parents are leaving for Malaysia together with my his sis and her husband on sunday. I'm so gonna miss them... Too bad i can't take so many days of leave if not i'll definitely join them..
Poor new boy.. he took half a day to update one chapter.. He's gonna have a breakdown soon!! @_@ I manage to update first 2 volumns of the statutes in 3 days, my eyes are so tired everyday after looking at rows and rows of words. There's 12 more volumns to go... i'm so tired. I really hope the new CO is coming soon, then he can help me with my work. How I know it's a male? because I was told that my superior likes guy better (logical, because my superior is a female!) But still, there's way too many female COs compared to male. Actually the ratio is 1 man to 9 female COs!
My parents are going overseas soon, suppose to go to penang, upon hearing that my parents are going to penang, my aunt and her husband tagged along, they've not been to penang. But then my parents suddenly say they would like to go to Bali instead. Don't know whether my aunt will go along in this case. My dad is the one who doesn't allow me to go to Bali because he says there's too many bombs in Bali, but then now he's going to Bali.. without me!!!
I was on leave last tuesday for an interview with the director of uniSIM. He's a angmo, very friendly, we were laughing and talking. It seems more like a afternoon tea talk rather than an interview. And I got a place with them~ I still didn't know what's in the envelope he gave me immediately after the interview. It took me 5 seconds to realised that i'm accepted by them. I thought I heard the interviewer congratulated the guy who went in for interview before me for winning the singapore idol. I didn't really see he's face when the two of us were in the same room ( i wouldn't be able to recognise him either even if i saw his face because i didn't watch a single episode) We had our lunch in the foodcourt again, Dear really like their malay food! Went down to town to fix my Ipod and camera. The camera is beyond hope and the charge is going to be around $150, super not worth it. So maybe we'll just get a new camera. My Ipod mini has no cure too, have to change the entire set for $108 or I could trade it up for $40 apple vouchers, then I can use the vouchers and buy Ipod nano @ $200. Havent' decided what to get, got to save more money for my university. Initially thought of filling the application for wavier of repayment of tuition loan from my dad's CPF funds. But my dad is too young!!! He must be at least 55 years old, has sufficient funds inside his normal and medisave a/c. Normally the parents would be around 50+ when their child grad from Poly.. but my dad is only at his late 40s... Haiz.. If not I could have use the extra money to save up for university.
Today is mooncake festival. I know there is a proper name to this festive, but I dunno what is it. I bought back the durian mooncake I bought with ying and ervin 2 years ago @ isetan scotts. It's really good!! We'll only eat together on the exact day when the moon is full. I sent out information to my whole family, ask them to be home for a light dinner, then we can have mooncake and tea @ night. My mom and I surely can make it back home on time, have no idea whether Daddy will have last minute overtime or not, Bro has his friend back to my house for a sleepover. Daddy warns my bro that his friend better tell his parents that he'll be staying @ our house tonight, he doesn't want his parents to lodge a police report that their son has gone missing.
My cousin's wedding is on the 20th october 2006. Have no idea where the wedding is, I just have to doll myself up for the big day. Bought a white dress for that day, mummy said I purposely want to snatch the limelight away from the bride. She's only 23 years old, so young to get married. I would get married @ this age too if i'm not going to study for U and not going to get a better career. I told my parents that the earliest i'll get married may be 28 years old, 3 years for uni and another 4 years for my career. So don't ask when am I gonna get married when i reach certain age. Nowadays people will start asking you whether do you have a boyfriend, in another few years time people will start asking you when are you going to get married. After marriage they will ask you when are you gonna have your first child, after the first child they will ask you when are you gonna give the first child a sibling? Are they really that concern??
Dear treated me to an early dinner @ jack's place last tuesday, it was our 3 years and 3 months anniversary~ Jack's place used to be his fav place for dinner for all occasions when he was young. He order his ever-fav sambal prawn while I ordered a few side dishes instead of the usual main course. I like varieties of food~ Everything was so nice~
I've got 3 more months before my school starts. I really hope I can cope well, now that I have to balance between family, dear, friends, school and work. 24 hours for so many things?? My cousin quits her uni after first year. had a dinner with her dad recently, her dad commented she was working, studying and going out with her bf.. where got time?? so in the end she quits from her school. My dad hopes I will not be like her. Graduating from uni is his last wish for me, after graduating then he will put down a huge burden. At least he doesn't need to worry about my future, now that i've graduated and so old liao (24 years old!!!)
Half an hour before I can go off~ gonna slack around~
Just ended my wonderful genting trip with my dear Joe Joe and another pair of good friend of mine! It was a wonderful experience, just that there was some problem in the beginning and at the end of the trip. Stupid travel agency gave us one couple seats and 2 individual seats for 2 couples.
First Day
Woke up super early.. @4pm and took a cab to Dear's place for a final check on our bags.. went to have breakfast @ 24hrs kopitam and took a cab down to Golden Mile. Both of us really cannot tahan the smell from Golden Mile. Dear was so surprised that I used Golden Mile's toilet because I don't usually use toilet outside unless it's from shopping centers. Dear said he quickly run out the moment he stepped into the toilet.. He can't tahan.. My only concern is I don't want to look for a toilet during the 6hours journey in the bus. The bus is quite luxurious. They have big leather seats, accompanied with Built in screen for each seat (with in house movie and games) , massage facility (the massage not v nice.. didn't use it @ all), a lot of space for legs ( but I end up crossing my legs because of my huge bag in front of me ). We watched a korea movie, played some games before putting on a mask and sleep throughout the whole journey.
I was quite disappointed that there's no bathtub in the room and the room is quite small, even though it's slightly bigger than the one in hong kong. We quickly got changed (Dear and I were wearing the same pullover and we look like 2 prisoners on the run because it's black and gray with strips). Genting is still quite cold @ this point of time and it took us some time to figure out a way before finding a restaurant to have our lunch. Had lunch @ a hong kong restaurant ( Causeway Bay restaurant ). It's very affordable and the dishes are all very nice (except the hotplate steak... it's so soft you don't feel like you are having steak) Went to visit the Ribleys believe it or not and their haunted house. First stop is the haunted house, dear and I were the first couple to walk in front and that super irriating Joseph keep pushing me to walk in front of me (which means I'm the first person among the whole bunch of people walking together).. I would jump on the slightest sound so no one can imagine how scare I was.. I kept walking 3 steps forward and 2 steps backward, so in order not to hinder the whole group, I walked behind Christina and CJ with another chinese couple in front of them. It's freaking scary inside.. it's so dark and they only supply you with those neon tubes.. (ours is yellow colour, little children are green colour, i wonder why???) Dear and I were screaming, running, laughing and jumping all the time.. One moment you have Freddy the nightmare jumping out, one moment you have hands reaching out grapping your leg ( this is the scariest of all, I totally jumped up) and then another moment you have a "ghost" squatting down there you don't know whether to cross it's path or not... We nearly lost our voice from all the screaming.. After the haunted house we proceeded to Ripley's believe it or not. I missed this when i was in hong kong because the peak tower was under renovation so I was pretty excited about this place. It's really a very fascinating place! It showcase all kinds of weird stuffs all over the world. Dear was able to open the "Mystery gate", we sat on the luckiest chair in the world and Joseph insists on touching the status that will give you a highest chance of getting pregnant. Had a bit of shopping after that.. Dear was so happy that he bought something for himself while I didn't manage to find anything that I like.. Bought a medium size Tabby (genting's mascot), a adidas waist pouch, 2 handphone accessories for my parents and colleagues. After dinner, Dear and I went to the casino while the other couple went back to rest.. We are so energetic all day long.. That was the first time I entered into a casino ( they checked my passport even though everyone says I look so mature for my age ). It's not tt fascinating.. there was smokes everywhere.. people walking around like bees.. and lots and lots of jackpot. Dear and I didn't know how to operate the jackpot machine but figure a way eventually with our intelligence! We were winning initially but end up losing in the end. I don't really like to gamble because I'm scare of losing my hard earned money so I was grumbling througout after we left the casino.. Dear kept saying that we are on holiday so shouldn't mind so much.. it's all part and parcel of gambling.. it's either win or lose.. We went back to our room only around 2am+..
Second Day
Woke up early for breakfast @ Ah yat abalone restaurant!!! They had wonderful Dim Sum and it's not very expensive!! We never have a chance to step into this restaurant in Singapore so I was so happy!! After that we went to the outdoor theme park and had so much fun!! Dear loves the spaceshot ride.. it's those kind of ride that will drop into within seconds from great height. The ride has four different sides facing different places so dear took around 6 rides that day because he wants to see all 4 different views and I accompanied him throughout. All of us are big fans of rollercoasters.. so we rode on all kinds of rollercoasters.. Everything was so fun!!
Had lunch @ Kenny Rogers before taking a cable car down to buy local stuffs. Bought so much titbits over there.. cost us around RM $100. Got to buy it for both my family and Dear's family. Their cablecars are so much better than the one we have @ Mt faber.. it's bigger and they even displays fake animals for us to see on the way down. Lucky there wasn't any crowd when we took the cable car.. Went back directly after buying the local food because there wasn't any other thing to see there. Went back to our room and a rest before going for out dinner. Went back to Causeway bay restaurant again because the food is just too nice! After that we went to Genting hotel ( we were staying in first world hotel ) and had games @ their arcade. Had enough tickets to redeem for a notebook and magnets. Christina and CJ went back to rest early and we went to casino again.. This time we played the game on the table. won a bit initially ( we bet $10 and won $100!!!, I was holding on to the $100 chip so badly because I didn't want Dear to use it to bet if he runs out of chips ), but eventually lost everything again. Didn't wan Dear to get piss off because i don't let him play.. so i surrender my $100 chip.. Went to had supper @4am+ before going back to sleep @ 5am+..
Third Day (last day)
My watch and mobile phone didnt' work when we were in genting highland maybe bcause we were up high. So I woke up in a panic because we were so late. Suppose to meet @ 9am but we only woke up @ 9.40am. Dear was so amused by my action because I practically jumped up from my sleep. In the end we rush and got out of the room hoping that they are still in the room. After I rang the bell, sleepy CJ ask why did we wake him up so early.. Then we found out that the time is only 8.50am.. Haiz.. so we went down first and had some Pre=breakfast meal. Had some food from shanghai express and chai siew bau!! It's all very nice! In the end I can't really finish my breakfast after all the pre-breakfast meals. Guess where we had our breakfast? @ Causeway bay again!! Dear and I went to casino again... because Dear said he only come here once every 10years. So in the end lost RM $50 again.. But it's ok because it's the last day already.. Had an early dinner before our journet back to Singapore @ KFC.. it's so cheap!!! only rm $11 for a meal add a chesy wedges and a Kit Kat drumstick ice cream.. tt's less than $5.50.. Shop around before meeting Christina and CJ @ the bus-stop. And then it's our journey back to Singapore. Had another dinner @ one of the stop.. Their mee robus is very nice.. taste like the one I had back in my primary school days.. Even their plate look so alike.. Reached singapore around 9+ and took a cab again back home.
Home
Mummy was so happy to have anther Tabby softtoy. Daddy was pleased with his present (adidas waist pouch) but they are not able to eat most of the food I bought because daddy has to take note of his health and mummy has to take note of her weight. So I'm gonna bring it to court to share with Yanti!! ( my best titbits partner )
Dear and I are planning to save money for our next trip, he said he wants to go to paris ( his dream place ).. i think we need to save a lot if we really wan to go..
I bought a lovely heels on wednesday and wore it yesterday~ It about 8cm high i think and it's orange in colour~ simply love orange colour nowadays.. Anyway, I wore it yesterday but it gave me a few blisters... Super painful.. I think because it's a bit tight for me.. I bought size 36 and it's a bit tight, but if I take size 37, it will slip out when I walk.. That's the problem I face all the time when I buy heels. On top of it, my right feet is slightly smaller than my left feet.. So it's even more difficult to find a pair of heels that suits perfectly. I was advised to bite my heels on the front and back, then it wouldn't dare to "bite" me!
I drove down to Bugis to fetch my darling last night, but he came out so late so I was wondering along Victoria Street doing U-turn all the time while waiting for him. In the end, I got lost again and don't know how, I drove to Tanjong Pagar.. .. Dear was on the phone most of the time discussing about his project with his classmate so he wasn't able to help me with the direction. I was rather piss off, because the girl kept on calling him. It's just a very simple report, do u need to call him every 5 mins to confirm again?? Anyway, Dear was piss off because I was piss off.. and so I decided not to be piss off so he wouldn't be likes this too~ We were so happy when we saw the sign that says CTE, so we turn into it immediately, without realising that that's CTE (AYE)!! This road will just bring us further down dunno where.. further away from our home... So I have to get out of the expressway and figure a way to CTE (SLE)... and finally.. with a bit of Dear's help, we were finally on the right way home.. So many cars on the road and so many constructions along the road.. Why can't they do they constructions in the midnight.. or super early in the morning, where's there's not so many cars.. BKE likes to have its constructions done on sunday morning also..
We finally reached yishun around 11.30pm and bought the 11.40pm movie tickets. Watched Ghost game (the thai movie).. highly recommended by my colleague.. Quite a few shocking moments.. but it's not scary at all.. Both Dear and I gave a 6.5 out of 10..
Saw a few bags that I really like in the "Female" magazine.. But I know it's super ex.. But then, investing in a good but expensive bag is worth it because you can carry it for most of the occasions.. and the quality should be better... On the other hand, women just like to buy bags and shoes.. So if i did bag the expensive bag.. think I would still buy whichever bag that I like along the way.. So think better don't even think of buying the bag..
It's another rainy day.. My pants is wet, heels is wet, bag is wet. Useless umbrella..
My statutes have been clearing smoothly.. I really hope I can finish it by 29 September.. Dear has been really nice to me, he kept surprising me with gifts from time to time. I really like the small eeyore ball~ It's hung to my mobile phone now. Even though it's only $2, but I really appreciate it because you took the effort to look through the usual shop from time to time to see if there's any new eeyore stuffs.
But I've been nice to Dear too~ Drove down to meet him last sunday night around 11pm+ to help him with his report. Imagine I have to wake up from my sleep to drive down and meet him. I was very very tired and was lying down most of the time while guiding him on the report. Suppose to meet Dear on this coming friday only, because he's either working or studying. But this dependant Dear Dear msg me and say he's very lonely, so I drove down to fetch him after his studies last night. Had a horrible experience last night while I was driving back home around midnight. I was driving on a quiet road (sembawang is so quiet @ night), Dear was sitting beside me. Suddenly, out from nowhere, 2 big dogs appeared!! And barking so ferociously @ us!!! There are 2 reasons why I was so scare and therefore accelerated to get away from them. First reason is because I'm so scare that the dogs will jump onto my car or scratch my car and the second reason is because it's the 7th lunar month now and it's quite eerie for dogs to bark for no reason. I didn't dare to look @ the rear mirror to check out on the dogs and so I got Dear to do it. Lucky they didn't run after the car.
Now I'm so looking forward to the musical coming up on 14 September!! Maybe I'll take leave on that day.. gotta clear leave.. And then next up is our genting trip over the weekend.. 22nd to 24th Sep~
It's friday and it's 5.40pm already... We can go off @ 5.30pm today but ma'am has finish the last case, and as her court officer, i'm suppose to stay thru with her... I'm going to meet Dear later and we'll go going for a haircut later. I may back out last minute.. After that will be having dinner @ Cinne and to prepare his report. Gonna spend the whole weekend with Dear because he's on leave~ Tomorrow we've got to go down to SIM to verify my documents, to get a new pasport for Dear and to help Dear sign up for a debit/credit card (depends of which one they will approve)..
I've been having weird dreams nowadays.. continuous dream in fact. It seems like there is part 1 and part 2 to my dream, wonder if there's a part 3 coming up. I hope what happened in my dream is gonna to be the opposite as to what's gonna happen in the reality.
*when is the mediation going to end....?* My darling joseph accompanied me to esplanade to see the firework on tuesday and I really appreciate his effort. I know you are uncomfortable when there's so many people around and I'll just ask someone else to accompany me on fri~ Dear says I don't tell him things and thus problem surfaces. For example, I wanted to stand outside and make sure we get a nice place to see the firework. When we reached around 7pm+ it's already quite crowded so naturally there will be more people when it's nearer to 9pm, of cos I would wan to stand outside and get a nice view. But when you asked me "you want to stand outside for 1 hour arh?", I would say think that you do not want to do it and I would oblige to it. I know you do not like to be in the crowd so I just accompany you sit inside esplanade so as to minimise your contact with the crowd. Of Cos I'm not happy and disappointed when we couldn't see much of the firework because of the trees. It's not that I don't wan to tell you anything, it's just that whenever you said/reponse in a way, I'll know what you like/don't like and I'll try to do it your way so as not to create any problems. But since you insist I should persuade you next time, then don't blame me for nagging @ you.
Dear and I drove down to town yesterday, parked our car @ Suntec and happily went off w/o winding up the window. To be specific, the window on Dear's side. He happily go off w/o winding it back and still can blame me for not checking the car. Of cos I not happy so shoot back say u open u should close!! We really wanted to eat in "curry flavour" but their kitchen is closed till 4.30pm.. So we went to had something else and end up very full. Had a regular earthquake and prawn and fruit salad a few hours later~ And I bought 2 heels!! one @ full price and the second price @ 41% discount~ Like it very much~
I want to see Fri's firework~ It's been such a long time since I last update my blog. 2 weeks? 3 weeks? quite a lot of things happened during this period and I'll try to recall what they are..
First of all, my darling has started school!! on 31 July 2006. I'm so happy for him and I wish him all the best in his studies even though he kept saying it's very easy and he's confident that he will score in all the subjects. I met up with Dear at douby to take the same north south line train. He alighted @ Toa Payoh while I continue my journey back to Yishun. When he kiss my goodbye, I really feel so much in love because he was leaving me (physically) to do something for me. He has always been telling me that the only reason why he is studying now is because of me. I just hope that we can have higher and better qualification so as to secure a better job and future.
My dear colleague, sumi left us to pursue further studies . She has been so helpful during the past 1 year and I really appreciate that. We bought her a Sari as a farewell gift because she really loves sari.
I dunno when is my boring work going to finish and I really hope it doesn't affect my performance bonus (read my previous entry).
My blur and sweet Joseph bought me a surprised gift yesterday! He bought a slipper for me to wear it @ home because the previous slipper that he bought for me has worn out. But he doesn't know that I've bought another eeyore slipper for myself and have been wearing it since. But the worst thing is, the slipper he bought for me is EXACTLY the same one as what i'm wearing now. I was laughing so loudly @ the MRT station when I saw it, he was so sian.. But nevertheless, I still love the gift! He's getting a eeyore speaker for me!! looking forward to it.
I've applied for SIM for year 2007 intake and I really hope i'll have positive reply from them. My cousin has just grad from either NTU or NUS and she's the first grandchild to be a grad in our family. When I saw the pic she took with her parents and my grandparents, I told myself I would want to do the same too. I know my parents, especially my dad really want me to have a degree. I will work hard for u!
I'm going down to esplanade on tues to see the firework display!! I love firework, it's so beautiful.. If possible, I hope I can go down on tues, fri and sat to see all the firework display~
